More grip breaking:
Again, Marcelo refuses to accept Rafael’s sleeve and collar grips from this position, and keeps breaking them.
Baseball-slide hook sweep:
After a bit of furious back and forth, which sees Rafael invert his guard, they break apart, and reset again. Now comes the really cool bit – Rafael switches stance and puts his left knee up instead of his right. This appears to have been the trigger Marcelo was waiting for as he executes a perfect sliding hook sweep, often called a baseball-slide, kicking out Rafael’s right knee as he does it. It’s a thing of beauty.
